Polymicrogyria is a congenital brain abnormality characterized by having multiple small gyri with abnormal cortical lamination.
Age of Onset: Clinical signs present at birth
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs typically don’t worsen over time, however behavior changes (aggression) were reported to worsen in one case report.

Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Seizures
Behavior changes

Movement
Hypermetric gait

Proprioception
Delayed proprioceptive hopping

Cranial Nerves
Central blindness
Menace deficit
Resting nystagmus
Decreased pupillary light response
Intracranial - prosencephalon
