Lissencephaly is a brain malformation characterized by minimal to no gyri and sulci with cortical thickening giving the brain a smooth appearance.
Age of Onset: Less than 4 years old
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs worsen over time
Clinical Signs:
Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Aggression
Decreased alertness
Deficient or poor learning capabilities
Dull
Seizures

Movement
Pelvic limb weakness

Proprioception
Mildly decreased postural reflexes

Cranial Nerves
Absent or reduce menace response
Incomplete bilateral pupillary light response
Ventromedial strabismus
Visual defects
Intracranial
