Myoclonus of the Tongue
Myoclonus is a brief sudden jerk-like movement that occurs due to involuntary contraction of one or more muscles. These contractions persist during sleep and during anesthesia.
Age of Onset: Any age of animal can be affected
Sex Predisposition: Both sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
Myoclonic jerks occur sporadically and do not typically worsen in severity or frequency over time. Myoclonic movements persist during sleep.

Clinical Signs:
Movement
Regular, repeated, stereotypic depolarization (contractions) of a muscle or a muscle group
Cranial Nerves
Intermittent muscle depolarization of the palpebral fissure and ear
Rhythmic movement of the tongue
