Multisystem neuronal degeneration is an inherited progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system.
Age of Onset: 5-7 months of age
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs worsen over the course of several months
Clinical Signs:
Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Easily startled
Loss of house training
Apathy
Hyperactivity
Hypersexuality
Aggression
Loss of cognition

Movement
Hypermetria
Intention tremors
Ataxia
Wide-based stance
Falling
Pacing
Circling

Cranial Nerves
Absent menace response bilaterally
Absent pupillary light reflex
Head tilt
Miotic pupils​
Diffuse central nervous system lesions
Suspected autosomal recessive inheritance
