Sensory Ganglioradiculoneuritis (Ganglioradiculitis)
Sensory ganglioradiculoneuritis is a disease of adult dogs that present often with an acute onset and slowly progressive gait disorder due to disorder of neurons carrying information regarding general proprioception.
Age of Onset: Any age of dog can be affected
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
Clinical signs often worsen over the course of several months

Movement
Ataxia
Dysmetria (pelvic limbs > thoracic limbs)
Excessive over-flexion of limbs
Tetraparesis
Proprioception
Reduced proprioception
Cranial Nerves
Facial hypalgesia
Reduced palpebral reflex
Masticatory muscle atrophy
Megaesophagus
Spinal Reflexes
Reduced/absent patellar reflexes
Crossed extensor reflex
Special Functions (e.g. respiration; urination)
Difficult prehension
Dysphagia
Pain Sensation
Reduced nociception
Movement
