Leukodystrophies are a group of hereditary disorders affecting the central nervous system.
Age of Onset: 2-9 weeks of age
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs worsen over the course fo several months to years
Clinical Signs:
Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Seizures

Movement
Generalized whole body tremors
Ataxia
Paresis to paralysis
Limb spasticity

Proprioception
Absent postural reactions

Sponal Reflexes
Increased to normal spinal reflexes​
White matter of the brainstem and spinal cord
