Sensory neuropathy is an inherited progressive neuropathy of that preferentially involves the sensory components of the peripheral nervous system ​
Age of Onset: Less than 6 months of age
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
Clinical signs begin in the pelvic limbs and progress to involve the thoracic limbs. Clinical signs progress for 12-18 months and then plateau.
Clinical Signs:
Movement
Ataxia
Paresis (paraparesis to tetraparesis)
Hypermetria


Proprioception
Reduced proprioception

Spinal Reflexes
Decreased muscle tone
Hyporeflexia/areflexia

Muscle Atrophy
No muscle atrophy
Diffuse neuromuscular 
Autosomal recessive inheritance
