Musladin-Lueke Syndrome is a genetic disease of beagles affecting the connective tissue. Animals may demonstrate a variety of clinical signs, including gait changes and neurologic signs, depending on the systems affected and the extent of disease.
Age of Onset: 3 months - 2 years of age
Sex Predisposition: ​Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
Clinical signs typically stabilize after 1 year of life

Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Seizures
Placid disposition

Posture and Appearance
Rigid extension of all limbs
Low tail carriage
Rigid tail tone
Broad skull
Characteristic ridge in ear cartilage
Carpus valgus
Thickened fur

Difficulty righting
