Multisystem neuronal degeneration is an inherited progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system.
Age of Onset: 5-7 months of age
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs worsen over the course of several months
Clinical Signs:
Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Abnormal behavior (excessive anxiety, aggression, hyperactivity, hypersexuality, apathy)
Easily startled

Loss of house training
Loss of cognition
Aimless biting when manipulated


Movement
Hypermetria
Intention tremors
Ataxia
Wide-based stance
Falling
Pacing
Circling

Proprioception
Proprioceptive deficits

Cranial Nerves
Absent menace response bilaterally
Head tilt
Miotic pupils
Diffuse central nervous system
