 Craniomandibular osteopathy results from an abnormal non-neoplastic proliferation of the bones of the cranium.
Age of Onset: Less than 1 year old
Sex Predisposition: Any sex of animal can be affected
Clinical Course:
​Clinical signs progress over a short period of time
Clinical Signs:
Behavioral/Mental Awareness
Head shy
Reduced appetite
Mild behavioral changes (acting overly cautiois in situations of potential head contact)


Posture and Appearance
Abnormally shaped or swollen cranium
​Difficulty opening the jaw

Enlargement of the jaw

Painful Reactions
Painful on palpation of the side and dorsal aspect of the face
Cranium and mandible
